And for this reason we also constantly thank (eucharistoumen | εὐχαριστοῦμεν | pres act ind 1 pl) God, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it truly is, the word of God, which even now is doing its work in you who believe.
