So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see who will get it” — that the Scripture might be fulfilled that says, “They divided (diemerisanto | διεμερίσαντο | aor mid ind 3 pl) my garments among (diemerisanto | διεμερίσαντο | aor mid ind 3 pl) themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots.” So the soldiers did these things.
