When you come to ParseWorks, the appropriate chapter is loaded and ready to go. If you want to work on a different chapter, then select the chapter from the drop down menu and click the button.
[Previous word] and [Next word] walk you through the different inflected forms.
[Text hint] shows the inflected word broken into morphemes. Click the button again to remove the hint.
[Audio hint] displays a small play bar in the middle of the window. (Not every word has an audio hint.) These are the types of helps I give my traditional students when they are stuck. Click the button again to remove the hint.
[Confirm] sees if your answer is correct. As far as lexical forms are concerned, ParseWorks first checks your entry including breathing and accents. If that is not correct, it checks your entry against the answer without accents. Breathings are essential. ἀκουω will not register as the same as ακουω.
[I give up] shows the correct answer. Please do not use this unless you have tried hard to figure the answer out on your own.
Lexical Form Entry
Type the lexical (dictionary) form of the word. ParseWorks will first check your entry including breathings and accents.
If that is not correct, it checks against the answer without accents. However, breathings are essential — ἀκουω will not register as the same as ακουω.
