For an Informed Love of God

First Year Greek Class

Have you ever wanted to learn biblical Greek but were afraid it was too hard? Have you wanted to learn the language of the New Testament but didn't want to study on your own? Now is the time to change all that.

Dr. Bill Mounce is teaching first year Greek online starting August 30, 2016. Each semester of the two semester class will cost $895 (plus books).

We will meet weekly using video technology, reviewing the chapter and working through the exercises. Classes are Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. In order to keep the class personal, Bill is accepting only the first 25 students who enroll. Click here to review the course syllabus and the Schedule.

Once you pass both semesters, you will be able to apply for seminary credit. It will only cost you a matriculation fee and a small administrative fee.

Q and A

  1. Will there be a second semester class? Yes, assuming enough students enrol. It will begin in January, 2017.

  2. What else will I need? Please read the syllabus carefully for all the specifics.

  3. When are the video sessions? The schedule for the video sessions are listed in the Schedule.

  4. When can I start? The class begins August 30, but you can start studying as soon as you sign up in order to get ahead.

  5. Can I go at a slower pace? No. You can study whenever you wish during the week, but for the sake of the student community and our interaction, it is important that we all go at the same basic pace. This is the pace used in teaching Greek in seminary.

  6. How do I get the quizzes and tests? Quizzes and keys can be downloaded from the bottom of each lesson page in the online class. Tests are available for download from the Cohort page a week before they are due.

  7. Will my tuition be refunded if I drop the class? Because Bill is admitting a limited number of students, once the class is closed there are no refunds.
