Pray for BiblicalTraining

BiblicalTraining is asking for your prayers for a meeting tomorrow (Thursday). I am sorry that I can't be more specific, but we have asked for a resource that we can put on the website that will substantively increase our ability to serve people around the world with their ongoing educational needs. There is a meeting tomorrow that will determine if the resource will be given to us. Please pray that God softens their hearts and allows this to go forward. Sorry I can't be more specific; but if it happens, I will let you know.

I believe that prayer moves God to do things that he might not otherwise do. In other words, prayer works, so please pray.

Bill,
This meeting is in my prayers. I'm sure others are praying as well.

James 5:16b-18
16b The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.
18 Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.

Although I have only recently started using your resources, I have already been blessed by them. Thank you for the efforts that have gone into all of this. Hopefully, this meeting will allow more blessing for Jesus' followers.

One prayer request for you. I feel like my knowledge of Greek has gotten a little rusty, so I've now obtained a copy of your Basics of Biblical Greek through Olive Tree. (I need to figure out what to order regarding workbooks and such as well.) My prayer request is this. I also intend to take my children through your BBG at some point. I had always assumed this would be sometime later, when they are older. But I was challenged last week to hear that some of the founding fathers of our country could read and write Greek by the age of 7, and many were then attending college by the age of 12. I've known that we as a society have grossly underestimated what our children are capable of, but this really surprised me. My oldest daughter is 7. I'm seriously praying about starting Greek with her now instead of later, and possibly including my 5-year old son as well. I could use your prayers in this. From our society's perspective, this is nuts to consider. But our society has become so lackadaisical that we are far from fulfilling our potential as God's image bearers. Our society is not a good standard by which to measure much of anything.

I would start them at KidsGreek.com. That would be more enjoyable and fulfilling for them. --Bill

Bill,

Thank you for the advice. I'll check that out.

I hope your meeting went well yesterday, and that all parties were focused on Jesus. The meeting was in my prayers, and I'm sure it was in the prayers of many others who read your blog.
