Reflections from Bob from his 90 years
We were taught to save,
Now we are encouraged to spend.
Homosexuality was a perversion,
Now it is an accepted life style.
Profane words were banned from movies,
Now anything goes.
We were taught to earn our own way,
Now we insist on entitlements.
Handshakes settled major contracts,
Now we have become a litigious society
Parents raised their own children,
Now schools have assumed that role.
Higher education was for the qualified,
Now is has been dumbed down for all.
States basically ran their own affairs,
Now the Feds trump every thing.
China was a mission field,
Now they almost own us.
Coffee was a nickel,
Now it averages $1.79
Kids made up their own games,
Now they buy them at the mall.
Most kids had their first kiss about 17,
Now they have sex in Jr. High.
In war, man killed man,
Now drones in Iraq are controlled from Las Vegas.
The great classics were read and poetry memorized,
Now Facebook is filled with inanities.
Drugs were the bane of society,
Now you can buy them at the corner store.
Revivals were common throughout the land,
Now religious faith is considered a private affair.
Religion was protected from government intrusion,
Now religion is seen as separate from public affairs.
Unborn life was protected by law,
Now human life yet unborn is considered garbage.
Music supported and encouraged the higher values,
Now it stirs the crowds to emotional exhaustion.
Marriage was between one man and one woman,
Now it roughly defines any conceivable sexual arrangement.
Life as it was, is my preference,
Now I have had my say.

Your comments go a long way to help bring into perspective the growing plauge of evil in this world. This falling away can be traced through history back to the beginning time of the Church. One of the things that would help the Churches today is to see the need to be a seperated people, a holy people. We can not combine elements of human wisdom, which is not wisdom, with sound doctrine. Every country in this world has its own worldly national prime directive. All those various worldly plans do not include serving God. The Churches must choose whom will they serve. Here in the country where I live, the wordly prime directive is americanism. It is just another brand of deception. It even trys to justify the killing of millions of uborn babies and wrap it all up in star spangled "glory" as if they are doing a great and glorious thing.
